Barry Bruyere
Singer/songwriter, multi-instrumentalist: Strings, guitars, bass, mandolin and fiddle. Winds: Celtic fife, tin whistles and harmonicas.
Barry began songwriting soon after he picked up the guitar at age 12.
Over the years since that, he has explored many musical styles.
Performing with many musicians in 25 different countries has brought many influences. Studying music at Ottawa University led to greater diversity of composition/arrangement and the qualifications to teach.
The Valley Mystics, a band spearheaded by Barry were chosen by the national student federation as the band to perform at thier annual conference in 1991 and played university functions and clubs during the late 80’s early 90’s in Quebec and Ontario. In the mid 90’s Barry moved to the west coast.
Being a multi-instrumentalist allowed Barry to share the stage with those like the late, beautiful Amanda Huges (Arts Club), Canadian Music Festival singer/songerwriter Nancy Demerais (Railway Club), Laura Bacon with Station to Station (Richards on Richards)
With the Ghost Band from Spring 98 to Feb.2000 (East Van. Culture Centre, Wisehall, Christchurch Cathedral, APTN, Comox Longhouse, Roundhouse Theatre).
Mystic Groove was first brought together in 2001.

Sean Keough Drums
Sean Keough has been drumming most of his life. Playing often at a young age with his father and hillbilly compadres at various gigs in the interior of BC, and in several bands as he moved to Victoria, Montreal and eventually Port Alberni. In Montreal Sean became apart of the Montreal Mushroom Project. A group that played improvisational shows as a purely spontaneous expression of the moment. He toured Victoria band Bells and Cannons and now happily finds his place in Port Alberni with the Mystic Groove collective.
Sean believes music to be sacred ground, an area he finds as challenging as it is beautiful. He released a solo album in November 2016 titled “Naychur” and plans to continue to shape his own sound as well as collaborate with other artists as his journey in music continues. Inspired by all forms of music, he appreciates anyone who shares their rhythm with the world.
